Muslims Too Need Salvation

As of today, there are more than 2 billion Muslims across the world. That's about 28% of the current global population. Islam is said to be growing faster than any other religion in the world. The only religion that currently has more adherents but is witnessing decline in North America and Europe is Christianity.

How do we as Christians reach out to the 2 billion Muslims in the world and inform them that Christ is the only way to salvation? That's the million-dollar question! Unfortunately, too many lukewarm Christians think that when we talk about reaching out to nonbelievers, Muslims are not inclusive. That is very wrong because salvation is found in no other person whether in heaven or on earth apart from Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). All other religions, faiths and creeds are wrong and cannot lead a soul to GOD. It is very important that as Christians we establish this fact first.

Some years back while I was at university, I told my Christian friends on campus that we needed to reach out to the Muslims on campus. Tell them about Jesus and why they need him in their lives. One of my friends, a Catholic objected and said that we only needed to reach out to the animists and others considered idols worshippers and other spiritists but not the Muslims. When I asked why that is, he ignorantly indicated that Muslims are already believers in a certain god and that we needed not to introduce them to our God. I said no way! Muslims just like the animist, atheists, and others need to repent of their sins, turn away from the spirit of Islam and accept the only WAY, TRUTH and LIFE which comes from knowing Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, in today's world, my old friend isn't the only Christian that thinks like that. There are many others like him, and it is a sad situation.

As Christians, we need to arm ourselves with the truth of the Bible and be well informed about what it teaches. If we do, we will feel compassion for Muslims just the way we feel for atheists, Hindus and others. Muslims too need salvation!
